After many legal troubles and nearly being forced to retire Sad Cafe came back in 1985 with the polished pop of "Politics of Existing". 1982s' "Ole" marked a change for Sad Cafe, adding in more pop radio friendly numbers while retaining their affection for American rock. "Ole" was definitely a transitional effort with many numbers being semi-forgettable (with a few exceptions). However, "Politics of Existing" finds the band back and in top form. 1985's "Politics of Existing" instead blends many new wave influences of the time with Sad Cafe's signature love of R
