Review by Dani Kelley

Kansas City by Wilbert Harrison is an album that showcases the energy and rhythm of the blues. The album features Harrison's signature hit "Kansas City," which is a classic blues song that has been covered by many artists over the years. The album also features other blues standards such as "Let's Work Together" and "C.C. Rider."

Harrison's voice is soulful and gritty, perfectly suited for the blues genre. The music is upbeat and lively, with plenty of guitar riffs and saxophone solos to keep the listener engaged. The album has a timeless quality to it, with songs that still sound fresh and relevant today.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "Let's Work Together," which has a catchy chorus and a message of unity and cooperation. The song has been covered by many artists over the years, including Canned Heat and Bryan Ferry.

This song was sort of a culmination of music from 1954 - 1959. Black music had integrated into radio and rock and roll, much like Fats Domino with his Blueberry Hill.

This song was in my dream last night. It's always been a favorite of mine. My grandparents used to move all their furniture to the side in their living room and dance to their records from their youth. Including this little number.

Even my great grandfather really enjoyed this song and he wasn't exactly a fan of much of the music that came of the 50s and 60s. But this one was favorite of his as well.
